Marvel Studios alum joins Legendary

Tim Connors has ankled Marvel Studios to become chief operating officer of Legendary Entertainment. Connors was instrumental in launching the film division of the comicbook publisher and will now manage day-to-day operations and business affairs at Legendary, working closely with company president and chief creative officer Jon Jashni. Connors was chief operating officer at Marvel Studios since 2008 and executive VP of business affairs and operations since 2006. While at Marvel, he oversaw all business transactions for the studio including the production and distribution of "Iron Man," "The Incredible Hulk," "Iron Man 2," "Thor," "Captain America: The First Avenger" and "The Avengers." "I'm proud to have been a part of what the Marvel team has accomplished over the past six years and honored to be joining Legendary at a time when the company is on the verge of significant growth," Connors said. "They are spearheading bold new initiatives which I am excited to help them accomplish." Legendary is currently producing "Man of Steel," "Pacific Rim," "Jack the Giant Killer" and soon has "Wrath of the Titans" and "The Dark Knight Rises" out in theaters.
