Music Center taps three

Lythgoe "American Idol" executive producer Nigel Lythgoe and execs Julia Stewart and Bert Valdam have been named to the board of directors of the Music Center, the downtown Los Angeles performing arts organization that oversees programming at the the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and Walt Disney Concert Hall."It is with great pleasure that I welcome these outstanding new members to the Music Center Board. They all share a deep connection to the arts, have been responsible for the leadership and growth of many creative businesses, and have established important connections within their fields," Music Center prexy and CEO Steve Rountree said.Lythgoe is the CEO of Nigel Lythgoe Prods. and began "American Idol" in 2002.Lythgoe is also the co-creator, executive producer and on-air judge for "So You Think You Can Dance."
